Serving as a liturgical minister is a great way to serve your parish and enhance your experience at Mass! There are a variety of roles for you to step forward into and volunteer to assist in our worship. Training in each ministry is provided yearly and new members are always welcome! Once you have been trained, you will then be commissioned as a minister so that you can reverently and devoutly perform the functions assigned to you for the good of Christ's faithful.
If you are interested in learning more about any or all of these ministries, please call your parish office for more information.
Altar servers assist the priest at the altar at Masses, funerals, and weddings. Youth in grades 4 and up, as well as interested adults, are encouraged to contact the parish office to begin this ministry. Training is provided at the beginning of the academic year.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon with the distribution of the Eucharist at Mass. They also have the privelege of bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound. All confirmed teens and adults are encouraged to contact the parish office if interested.

The sacristan provides an invaluable service by preparing the sacred vessels before Mass, as well as preparing the books and other liturgical items in the sacristy. After Mass, the sacristan then ensures that things are put away safely. In addition to Masses, sacristans are many times asked to serve at weddings and funerals, too. This ministry is open to any adult Catholic.
Ushers and greeters assist the assembly on weekends and holy days, by greeting people at the door before Mass and welcoming them to the liturgy and to our community. Anyone is welcome to greet, even entire families! Ushers also help to seat people in need, handle collections during the offertory, hand out bulletins after Mass, and make sure that the pews remain tidy. If interested, please contact the parish office.
This team is responsible for decorating the church for the seasons, keeping the flowers watered, and maintaining the overall environment of the liturgical space. Open to any adult who has decorating ideas or would like to help with flowers. Ability to attend meetings is helpful. Please contact the parish office for more information.
